Should I try to get a music scholarship?
The music department has many positions to fill in its major ensembles.  If you have musical ability, please apply.  This year, 106 students receive music scholarships averaging $3,000 per scholarship.  Highly-qualified students are eligible for considerably larger scholarships.  A music scholarship is a unique level of financial aid which is added to your merit award (academic).

What commitment am I making by accepting a scholarship?
You are committing to full participation in the ensemble(s) for which you are scholarshipped.  In some cases, this includes a requirement for taking applied lessons. Often, the applied study is included in the scholarship package.

I don't want to major in music, do I have a chance for a scholarship?
The majority of our scholarships go to non-majors.  Non-majors are just as eligible as music majors.  The music scholarship is in place to fill ensembles with quality musicians, regardless of their major.

Are music scholarships renewable each year?
Yes.  As long as you fulfill your contracted responsibilities, your scholarship will renew annually.

What are you looking for in my audition?

The scholarship priority deadline for new students entering in Fall 2010 has now passed.  We will continue to accept scholarship applications until funds are depleted.  The sooner applications are received, the more likely we will be able to award a scholarship.
NOTE: You must apply to Concordia University in order to be considered for a music scholarship.  The Concordia University online application is free and fairly brief.
